The Longleng Town Students’ Union (LTSU) carried out a surprise inspection of various government departmental offices within Longleng Town from May 12 to 14 to assess office attendance, functioning, and public service delivery.
During the inspection, the Union reportedly found several government offices completely inactive, while some offices were functioning with inadequate staff strength and poor attendance. The inspection was conducted as part of the Union’s initiative to ensure proper functioning of public offices for the welfare and convenience of the citizens.
The LTSU further noted that Heads of Departments (HoDs) of most offices were out of station during the inspection. The Union stated that the absence of HoDs hampers office functioning and affects public service delivery.
