Nagaland BJP President and Minister for Tourism and Technical Education, Temjen Imna Along has said that it will take some time for the situation in Manipur to normalise as there are a lot of issues to be addressed.
Along, in an interview with ‘Prarabdh’, was asked regarding the scenario in Manipur and what he had to say on it. To this, he replied that he cannot say many things on the situation in Manipur as it relates to the communities there but whatever happened in the neighbouring State, the bloodshed, loss of life and property, is highly condemnable.

He said that it is highly condemnable because whatever grievances are there should be discussed between each other, and there should be brainstorming and consultation.
The Nagaland minister said that no one has the right to take each other’s lives.

He said that all are citizens of India, whether it is the Meiteis living in the plains or the Kukis and Nagas living in the hills, stressing that it is very important to take care of each community and to take each other along.
The Advisor further stated that whatever has happened, lives lost (whether of Kuki or Meitei) or properties damaged is very wrong.
He asserted that Union Home Minister Amit Shah is taking good steps to resolve the issues in the State. He also commended Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma’s role in taking care of the situation. In addition, senior party functionaries like Dr. Sambit Patra, are continuously monitoring the situation, Along said.
He said that it will take some time for the situation to improve as there are many issues to address, and it will take some time to correct those issues. The Nagaland State BJP chief implored that everyone should pray that peace returns to Manipur.
