Additional Deputy Commissioner, Pungro, Hotolu Sema, NCS, has informed that a mass social work would be conducted at Pungro from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m. on June 5 as part of the World Environment Day celebration 2026. All shops have been directed to remain closed till 8 a.m.

The ADC also informed all citizens under Pungro Sub-Division to actively participate in the mass social work. He further directed all Ward leaders, Town GBs and Head of educational Institutions to spearhead the cleanliness drive.

Additionally, all the citizens have been informed and encouraged to be aware of the garbage deposition (except foliage or plant waste) location during and after the social work.

The designated garbage pickup points are Shorih colony, BOC junction, Kiphire Road junction above hospital, Six Star junction, Junction below United Pentecostal Church, Saramati School junction, below Gas Agency Circular Road, near SBI, BDO Office junction, Daily Bazzar junction, Police point main town, Sunrise Road junction, ADC office Junction, Power station/GPS forest ward, police station and cemetery road junction.
