A four-day training program for the Master Trainers of Census-2027 began on May 13 in the Conference Room of the Directorate of Census Operations, Nagaland, Kohima. The training will continue till May 16 and is scheduled to cover all the aspects of the forthcoming Phase –I of Census- the House listing and Housing Census.
While delivering the keynote address, the Director of Census Operations, Dr Kenei Miachieo briefed the Master Trainers about the organizational structure of Census both in the centre as well as in the State along with an overview of the Census processes. He highlighted the importance of the role of Master Trainers as a key link in the training cascade and urged them to give their level best in the subsequent trainings.

There are altogether six Master Trainers for Nagaland State- four of them from State Government and two from Directorate of Census. The Master Trainers will train 130 Field Trainers who will in turn train about 6000 Enumerators and Supervisors in the coming days.
The National Trainers, Mhathung Rangthang, Assistant Director, and Imtimendang, Statistical Investigator are the Resource Persons for this training.
