A free medical camp was organised by Akehda Amulung and Atsikeh Trust at the DC Office, Kiphire, on September 30. The camp was specially organised for the staff of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Kiphire, to support their health and well-being.

The medical camp provided basic health check-ups and laboratory testing services to the staff. A total of 49 OPD consultations were recorded, while 14 laboratory tests were conducted during the camp.

Longtili C Sangtam, Founder of Akehda Amulung, said that the initiative supports Sustainable Development Goal 3 (SDG 3), which focuses on Good Health and Well-Being. He said that Akehda Amulung, together with Atsikeh Trust, will continue to look ahead and work towards more community-based health services.

Founder of Atsikeh Trust also highlighted the importance of making basic healthcare services accessible to people. She said that health awareness and early health check-ups can help people identify health concerns at an early stage. She added that the Trust is committed to working with organisations and communities to support practical initiatives that contribute to healthier lives.

The organisers expressed their appreciation to the DC Office, Kiphire, for supporting the medical camp and making the programme possible.
