In the stride towards electoral transparency, a meeting on the special summary revision of the electoral roll was convened at the DC Conference Hall in Kiphire on November 21, highlighted the DIPR. The meeting brought together all Booth Level Officers (BLOs), Booth Level Agents (BLA), Assistant Registration Officers (ARO), and Assistant Election Officers (AEO) from the 59th and 60th Assembly constituencies under the Kiphire District. The session was presided over by the E-Roll Observer for Kiphire, K.S. Anden Konyak IAS, Commissioner & Secretary, DUDA Government of Nagaland.
Addressing the gathering, Observer Konyak extended a warm welcome and underscored the purpose of the meeting; to gather insights and assess the progress within the district. He encouraged active participation, inviting suggestions, and clarification of doubts from all attendees. Stressing on data accuracy, Observer Konyak emphasized the necessity of linking every elector’s name with their Aadhaar card, enhancing electoral integrity.

A special emphasis was placed on prioritizing differently-abled persons during the voting day. The attendees were urged to ensure their enrollment and address any omissions promptly. To maintain an updated electoral roll, the need to promptly delete the names of deceased persons already listed was emphasized.
Konyak also urged the line workers to extend their full support and cooperation to the District Administration and Election Department. He encouraged them to communicate grievances and seek clarification from the administration and AEO, informed the DIPR.
Chubamngla, EAC Kiphire HQ, and the AEO in charge highlighted the comprehensive awareness programs conducted for all BLOs. She revealed plans for an EVM demonstration by January, facilitated by sector officers, and the establishment of an EVM demonstration center in Kiphire HQ.
