Meluri district observes Har Ghar Tiranga campaign

Meluri District observed the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign on August 17 with a procession aimed at promoting patriotism, national pride and awareness of the significance of the National Flag.

The procession was led by EAC Meluri, Zuchibemo Ezung (NCS) and commenced from the Police Traffic Point, Meluri, before culminating at the Multipurpose Stadium Meluri.s

Speaking on the occasion, SDPO Meluri, Dr T Desela Sangtam, highlighted the symbolism and purpose of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign. She emphasized the significance of the Tricolour as a symbol of the nation’s unity, pride and collective identity, and encouraged citizens to participate in the campaign with a sense of responsibility and patriotism.

The procession witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of Government Higher Secondary School, Meluri; St. Xavier Higher Secondary School, Meluri; and Christian Higher Secondary School, Meluri, along with representatives from various Government Departments and offices in Meluri and Meluri Town Councillors.

The campaign reflected the collective spirit of the people of Meluri in honouring the National Flag and reaffirming their commitment to the values of unity, integrity and national pride.
