The Morning Football Association (MFA) held a thanksgiving programme with the sponsors and team admins of Lirunas Morning Premier League on 1 September 2022 at Hotel Ura, Kohima.

The chairperson of the programme, Moamar delivered the welcome address followed by a review of the MPL Season 2022. Lipok, MFA and MPL Managing Committee Member acknowledged all the sponsors, well-wishers, officials and the entire MPL fraternity for the support and contributions towards the success and prosperity of the league. A memento each was also presented to all the sponsors by the President of MFA, Apong Longchar.

Asangla Imsong of Lirunas and title sponsor of MPL Season 2022, appreciated the concept of the league which is to provide platform for football lovers and enthusiasts who are in their thirties and above. She stated that it fosters friendship and brotherhood among all involved and hoped that the league would go from strength to strength. She expressed happiness to be associated with MPL and encouraged them to work for the betterment of the league and strive to take it to greater heights.

Chiset of Disong Designs (Co-sponsor) and Sentiyanger (Trophy sponsor), also spoke on the occasion. Dr. Viposa Kiso, Director, Gethemgo Sports International (GSI) exhorted the gathering where he said that MPL is a stage where 210 players from 10 teams come together with a common love for football which is a commendable achievement. He hoped that through this league, all the families and friends associated with the players would one day unite and come together in future to celebrate the bond created by the love for the beautiful game of football. He then proposed the thanksgiving prayer.
