The Department of Sociology of MGM College in collaboration with the Department of History, organized an exposure trip to Poilwa T. Khel Resort on April 12, 2025. The primary aim was to encourage experiential learning, foster faculty-student bonding, and offer a refreshing retreat from academic routines.
“Upon arrival, participants immediately immersed themselves in a collaborative cooking activity. This hands-on experience not only brought out creativity and cooperation but also deepened camaraderie across departments. It served as a powerful metaphor for shared effort and unity—hallmarks of successful academic communities. The day continued with a series of fun-filled games and interactive sessions that energized the atmosphere. Students and faculty engaged wholeheartedly, breaking down formal barriers and building stronger interpersonal bonds,” stated a press release by the college.

The college also added: ”Laughter, teamwork, and spontaneous joy filled the air, reaffirming the significance of such informal yet meaningful interactions. A brief prayer session was held in the afternoon, creating space for gratitude, introspection, and spiritual connection. It was a quiet, grounding moment that added depth to the day’s vibrant experiences.”
The Poilwa Exposure Trip was a resounding success, according to the press release, seamlessly blending education, relaxation, and human connection.
“The natural environment proved to be a powerful classroom—teaching lessons in empathy, community living, and the joy of shared experiences. Such initiatives stand as a testament to the departments’ commitment to nurturing well-rounded individuals who not only excel in academics but also thrive as socially aware and emotionally resilient citizens. With cherished memories and strengthened bonds, both departments now look forward to more such enriching experiences in the near future,” added the press release.
