MIB Director General, NEZ interacts with Nagaland mediapersons

The functionality of the media, its tools, handlers and its impact are rapidly changing at such a fast pace that what shape it’s taking in future cannot be foretold right now, said Satish Nambudiripad, Director General, North East Zone, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India.

 

He was Interacting with the media at the venue of the 10 day Multi-media Exhibition on Viksit Bharat 2047 organised by the Central Bureau of Communication of the ministry at Hornbill Festival, Kisama this afternoon.

Lauding the Nagaland media for their key role in disseminating correct information to the masses, Nambudiripad urged them to publish positive and progressive news on welfare schemes being taken up by the government.

During the programme, the DG released a report booklet on the Press Tour undertaken by the Nagaland journalists to Mumbai, organised by the Press Information Bureau, Kohima in October 2024.

Earlier, K Sonikumar Singh, Assistant Director, PIB Kohima welcomed the DG and the mediapersons. He also outlined the objectives for organising the multimedia exhibition. Functionaries of the Kohima Press Club, officials of DDK & AIR and other private print and electronic media and OTT platforms participated in the interaction programme.

The multimedia exhibition also saw a large number of visitors turning up on the fifth day of the Hornbill Festival 2024.
