Minister of Health and Family Welfare, P. Paiwang Konyak visited District Hospital, Tuensang on 21st November 2024.

Thanking the officers and staff of District Hospital for their warm welcome, the Minister stated that his visit was part of the exercise to look at the short comings of the department on the issue of infrastructure and development work in the district. He informed the gathering that there are many shortages of doctors in the State especially the specialists and assured that the Government is doing its best to fill up the gap. Konyak also informed that another aim of the visit was to oversee the Food Safety and Drugs Control in the district.

The Minister was accompanied by Commissioner & Secretary, Additional Director, Principal Director and Senior Doctors from the Department of Health and Family Welfare. Dr. Imlitemsu Ozukum, CMO, Tuensang, gave a brief power point presentation of the department’s activities in the district.
