Minister Paiwang Konyak visits Longleng

Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Nagaland, Paiwang Konyak, visited Longleng district on 21st November 2024 and inspected the ongoing construction site of the new district Hospital and interacted with the officials and construction workers.

After site inspection, a brief meeting was convened at PBCA hall, Longleng with various Civil Societies Organisations, and department officials. In this meeting, a brief overview of the district hospital and the department was presented by the district CMO and Medical Superintendent.

Phom People’s Council President, Y,B Angam also made an appealed to the minister to complete the construction of the hospital at the earliest by releasing the necessary funds and also to provide blood bank at the hospital for the patients during emergencies.

The Minister said that his visits to different districts is not only to look into the grievances and speeding up the pending works but also to create awareness on food safety which is interlinked to good health. He encouraged the gathering to make sure that only the licensed pharmacists are the one who sits at the pharmacy and also to check the selling of banned drugs. He assured to complete the construction work in time and also to erect a retaining wall at the medical staff quarter at the earliest.

The Minister was also accompanied by Commissioner Secretary, Anoop Khinchi and Department Officials.
