Veteran politician and NDPP MLA Imkong L Imchen has urged for a one-day Special NLA session to discuss the demand of ENPO ‘Frontier Nagaland’.
Speaking to Nagaland Tribune, Imkong urged the Chief Minister and the NLA Speaker to convene a one-day Special NLA session to discuss the demand of ENPO ‘Frontier Nagaland’ before the announcement of the general assembly elections, which is due early next year.
He said if the assembly elections were to be held without the participation of the 20 assembly seat in the House of 60 or if the elections were to be forcefully conducted under the given situation then the problem would continue on to the 14th House of the NLA.
“We will be carrying the present problem to the new House i.e. 14th House which will be unbecoming and irresponsible on the part of the incompetent members of the present 13th House,” the MLA stated.
Eastern Nagaland Peoples Organisation (ENPO) had earlier issued a directive asking its seven tribal bodies to ban any election related campaign by any parties and any candidature declaration program in their respective jurisdiction.
