On the second day of the MDFA 2023 tournament, the first match witnessed Moanungsang MSC facing Dare Devil’s (AR), with the final score of 5-1 in favor of Moanungsang MSC, who were the runners-up of last year’s tournament.

Molutsupong (J/No. 6) of Moanungsang MSC opened the scoring for the team in the 23rd minute against Dare Devils (AR). Inovi Chishi © (J/No. 5) added the second goal in the 37th minute. At halftime, Moanungsang MSC led 2-0. After halftime, Moanungsang MSC’s Meyasenba (J/No. 10) scored the third and fourth goals for their team in the 51st and 75th minute. Aripong (J/No. 8) added the fifth goal for MSC in injury time (90+1 minutes). Dare Devil’s Helngam (J/No. 33) found the net for their lone goal in the 58th minute.

In the second match of the day, defending Champion Telongjem FC faced Araka United and emerged victorious with a score of 3-1.

Nyithong Magh (J/No. 7) of Telongjem FC scored the opening goal of the match in the 2nd minute, while Tongpangjungshi Jamir (J/No. 3) added their team’s second goal in the 38th minute. Magh (J/No. 7) once again contributed to their team’s third goal in the 59th minute. On the other side, Kumang Tongzuk (J/No. 11) of Araka United found the net for their only goal in the 45th minute.

On Thursday, the first match will feature Legendary against Zonipang SA, while in the second match, Super Seniors will take on the KSR team.
