Mokokchung Battalion Assam Rifles (AR), under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North), organised a free veterinary camp at Veterinary Hospital, Yimyu Ward, Mokokchung on 7 February under Operation Sadbhavana.

The event was organised keeping in view the paucity of veterinary medical facilities in the area and providing veterinary support at the doorstep for the livestock and animals, an update from AR informed.

The camp was conducted under the supervision of veterinary representatives from Mobile Field Veterinary Hospital of Dimapur and the medical staff of Mokokchung Battalion.

During the camp, more than 3000 animals including dogs, cattle, goats, and poultry were treated. Veterinary medication was also distributed free of cost to pet owners, while animal farmers were educated on hygiene and sanitation of their livestock, it stated.
