Mokokchung: C/173 Bn CRPF organises Civic Action Programme at Chuchuyimpang

Mokokchung: 33 water tanks were handed out to Government Middle School, Khensa, and people from Khensa and Chuchuyimpang villages

The C/173 Battalion of the CRPF organised a Civic Action Programme on Monday at its Coy Headquarters located at DEF Camp, Chuchuyimpang, Mokokchung, where it distributed water storage tanks to needy villagers.

Commandant of 173 Bn CRPF, Ashok Kumar Yadav informed that the Central Reserve Police Force conducts Civic Action Programme annually to bridge the gap between the Security Forces and the local community and strengthen its bond of friendship.

In this programme, the needy and institutions are provided with various essential items which will be beneficial for them in their daily lives, Yadav added.

33 water tanks were handed out to Government Middle School, Khensa, and people from Khensa and Chuchuyimpang villages residing near deployment of C/173 Bn.

Nokchasashi, GB Khensa and Talikumla, Mahila President, Khensa appreciated the initiative of 173 Bn CRPF and presented a traditional machete and spear of the Ao tribe to the Commandant on behalf of Khensa Village. The villagers thanked the Commandant for organising the people-friendly programme.

Earlier, Assistant Commandant, Cuthbert Tongsin Anal presented the introductory and welcome speech while youths of Khensa village presented a special song.

Uma Shankar Verma, Chief Medical Officer of 173 Bn CRPF, Alemmeren, chairman, Khensa Village Council and Temsumoa, chairman, Chuchuyimpang Village Council were also present.
