Mokokchung Cooperative Societies celebrates 71st All India Co-operative Week

Mokokchung: DC Phoji encourages startups to begin small but aim for long term success

The Assistant Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Mokokchung, celebrated the 71st All India Co-operative Week under the Theme “The Role of Co-operatives in Building Viksit Bharat”. The programme was held at the Multi-Purpose Hall, Sangtemla Ward, Mokokchung on 18th November 2024.

Deputy Commissioner of Mokokchung, Thsuvisie Phoji, who graced the program as the guest of honour urged beneficiaries to utilize digital tools, emphasized equal rights in cooperative registration, and lauded the growth of local cooperatives. He encouraged startups to begin small but aim for long term success.

In her welcome and keynote address, Sub-Registrar of Co-operative Societies (SRCS), Mokokchung, Bisarila L. Sangtam emphasized the significance and the role of Co-operative in building Viksit Bharat, where she highlighted on the event’s objective of fostering cooperative awareness and opportunities for economics, agricultural and financial empowerment under the theme – Viksit Bharat.

The programme was chaired by the Inspector of Cooperative Societies (IRC), Mokokchung, Tsulensa Jamir, while short speeches were delivered by Supongchiten, Chairman, Adianu Agri. and Allied Cooperative Ltd. Longsa village and Poji, DDM, NABARD, Mokokchung.

DC Mokokchung gave away hardware components to Primary Agriculture Credit Societies (PACS) Computerization beneficiaries.
