The Deputy Commissioner (DC), Mokokchung, has notified traffic restrictions on the Asetkong-Tsusangra road in view of repair and restoration works being carried out at Longpong Bridge, located at the 27-km chainage.

According to the notification, heavy vehicles weighing above 8 metric tonnes will be completely restricted from plying along the road stretch with immediate effect, from November 4 to December 2, 2026.

Plying of light vehicles along the same stretch will also remain restricted from November 4 to 17, 2026, to facilitate the repair and restoration work.

The DC has appealed to the public to cooperate with the administration and adhere to the traffic regulations until the work is completed.
