Mon District Welfare Office Building inaugurated

Mon: DoSW Director exhorts officers and staff to leave no stone unturned in providing various services to beneficiaries

District Welfare Office Building of Social Welfare Department was inaugurated in Mon by Secretary, Social Welfare, Martha R Ritse, IAS on the 9th January 2024, a DIPR report informed. The Director, Tosheli Zhimomi and Deputy Commissioner Mon, Ajit Kumar Verma, IAS were present at the function.

Speaking at the inaugural program, Martha R Ritse expressed her happiness on the successful completion of the DWO office Building and urged the officers and staff to utilize it in serving the down trodden and vulnerable section of the society. Director Social Welfare, Tosheli Zhimomi, exhorted the officers and staff to be sincere in their assigned duties.

Deputy Commissioner Mon, Ajit Kumar congratulated the department for the successful completion of the office building and expressed his belief that this kind of facility/infrastructure would enhance the productivity of the officers and staff.

The office building was dedicated by Rev Chemyuh, Executive Secretary, Konyak Baptist Bumeinok Bangjüm (KBBB), Mon. The inaugural program was chaired by CDPO Phomching, Khonbeni Jami and welcome address was delivered by DWO Mon, T. Yanlem. A special number was presented by Mon District Disabled People Society. Report on construction of the building was presented by the engineering wing and words of thanks was presented by DPO ICDS Mon, Tsalito Sangtam.

DIPR also informed that prior to the inauguration, a coordination meeting was held on the 8th January 2024 which was attended by Director and senior officers of Social Welfare Department along with the officers and staff of Social Welfare Mon.

The Director exhorted the officers and staff to be sincere in their duties and to be present in their place of posting. They were also appraised on the various programs under the department like PMMVY, Scheme for adolescence girls (SAG) etc. They were also urged to leave no stone unturned in providing the various services to the beneficiaries.
