The monthly meeting of the Mon District Planning & Development Board for the month of July was held under the chairmanship of Ajit Kumar Verma, IAS, DC & Vice Chairman DPDB, Mon, at DC’s Conference Hall Mon, on 12th July, 2024, informed DIPR.
Manpon Konyak, newly appointed chairman of DPDB Mon, MLA stated that it is a great privilege for him to be appointed Chairman of the Mon District Planning & Development Board and an opportunity for him to serve the people even more. He called upon the members to work together as a team, with advices and agendas, emphasising more on the development and social issues for the welfare of the people.

The house received the application for society registration of Mopong Hongkong Union, Shamnyu Ward, Mon Town. After proper scrutiny of all necessary papers and also based on the society’ presentation of their activities, it decided to recommend to the government for registration of society.
V. Aron Sema, District Planning Officer & Member Secretary, DPDB Mon, highlighted the approval of LADP 2024-2025 constituency wise. The Agriculture department presented their departmental activities through a PowerPoint presentation.
The toppers of the HSLC & HSSLC 2024 under Mon District were also felicitated during the meeting.
