Union Minister of State for Railways & Textiles, Darshana Jardosh conducted a meeting with the Administration and Heads of Offices of Chumoukedima district on the second day of her three-day visit to Nagaland on Tuesday, DIPR stated in a report.
During the interaction held at DC’s Conference Hall, Chumoukedima, it was informed that the Union Minister will be visiting all the states of North East as per the instructions of MDoNER. Her visit to Chumoukedima District is to understand what is happening in the district and what difficulties they are facing so that she can convey to the Central Government and look into the needs.
The meeting was chaired by ADC, Chumoukedima, Dr Kuzonyi Wideo where he appreciated the efforts she had taken to visit Chumoukedima District. During the interaction, departments such as Rural development, Agriculture, Social Welfare, Food & Civil Supplies, Soil & Water Conservation, Health, Power, PWD (R&B), PHE, Sericulture, Handicraft industries highlighted the progress of various schemes under their department and ongoing projects.
After the interaction with the departments, Jardosh inaugurated SAMARTH training program at Dhansiripar village and distributed Fly Shuttle frame looms to weavers at Eri Rearing village and sericulture farm at Dhansiripar Village. The MoS also visited Diezephe craft village, Sovima M/S Heirloom Naga, HL&HC Design & Development Centre, Dragon fruit farm at Chumoukedima and Jan Jal Mission at Kirha village respectively.
