MP Jamir urges Railways to review Tuli line, asks for extension of stoppage time for regional trains at DMV

Dibrugarh: MP appeals NFR to consider extension of BG Express upto Tuli Station

Nagaland’s lone Member of Parliament for Lok Sabha, S. Supongmeren Jamir attended a meeting between MPs from Northeast and officials of Northeast Frontier Railway, Tinsukia Division, at Dibrugarh, Assam, on 14th November 2024.

At the meeting, MP Jamir requested for reviewing of the Dimapur-Tuli-Tizit railway connection which has been kept in abeyance by Railway Board since 2019. He also appealed for the review of the Tuli railway extension which was sanctioned by the Railway Board in 2009-10 but then shelved in 2011.

Further, Jamir requested for extension of stoppage tome at Dimapur Railway Station (DMV) from 7 minutes to 15 minutes for the Jan Shatabdi Express (Jorhat Town to Guwahati), the Nagaland Express (Dibrugarh to Guwahati) and the BG Express (Guwahati–Mariani).

The MP also asked the NFR to consider the extension of the BG Express upto Tuli Station.

The meeting was chaired by Union Minister and MP, Sarbananda Sonowal.
