Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha, S. Supongmeren Jamir has requested Union Minister of Health, Jagat Prakash Nadda to reallot examination centres for Nagaland in Kohima and Dimapur for NEET-PG examination 2024 which is scheduled to be conducted on 11th August.
In his letter, Jamir mentioned that he had received a representation from the Nagaland Medical Students’ Association demanding the reinstatement of the examination centre in the State.
“In this regard, due to the lack of local examination centres in Nagaland, the enthusiastic and aspiring students are facing tremendous hardship while travelling from our State to other far flung examination centres located in other States,” the MP stated.
He expressed hope in learning that the Health Ministry has reallotted exam centres of States like Manipur and urged the Union Minister to do the same for Nagaland for the welfare of the medical students.
Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio has also written to the JP Nadda urging the same.
