The Mokokchung Press Club (MPC) on Saturday  observed its 18th Foundation Day by planting cherry blossom trees along the NH-702 D (Mongsenbai Road stretch) in Mokokchung town, continuing a beautification initiative that began eight years ago in 2018.

As part of the program, members planted saplings along the highway stretch to promote environmental conservation and to improve the visual appeal of a ‘deserted section of road’.

The initiative aims to make the area more greener while also encouraging public awareness on conservation and urban beautification in Mokokchung.
