Naga Youth commits suicide in Jaipur

A Naga youth identified as Lemba Yimchunger (18 years) was reportedly found dead in his room on 6 September in Jaipur, Rajasthan. The deceased was working as an employee in the housekeeping department of a saloon and spa (name not disclosed) located in Jaipur.

Highlighting the incident to Nagaland Tribune, Ngachan Vashi, President of Nagaland Students Union Rajasthan (NSUR), said the deceased was found dead in his room by his roommate. The matter was then reported to Shyam Nagar Police Station, Jaipur and the NSUR for the inquest.

“No suicide note was found and the reason that prompted him to take his life is unclear,” he informed and added that the deceased had allegedly not been keeping well.

The body was taken to SMS hospital for post mortem examination and the result is awaited.

The funeral service of Lemba Yimchunger was held on 7 September. He was laid to rest in a Christian graveyard in Jaipur.
