Nagaland Assembly election 2023: Congress releases first list of Candidates

New Delhi: 21 candidates are included in its first list, including one woman candidate

The Central Election Committee of the Congress party has on Saturday released the names of candidates who will be contesting in the forthcoming 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly elections 2023.

21 candidates are included in its first list. The names of candidates for the remaining constituencies are expected to be announced shortly.

There are 60 Assembly Constituencies in Nagaland.

Rosy Thomson is the only woman in the list declared today. She will be contesting from 6 Tenning A/C.

The party’s candidates are – K. Therie: 1 Dimapur-1, S. Amento Chishi: 2 Dimapur-II, V. Lasuh: 3 Dimapur-III, Akavi N. Zhimomi: 4 Ghaspani-I, Rosy Thomson: 6 Tenning, Seyievilie Chachu: 11 Northern Angami-II, Vaprumu Demo: 18 Chozouba, Zachilhu Ringa Vadeo: 19 Phek, S. Supongmeren Jamir: 25 Mongoya, Toshipokba: 26 Aonglenden, Khekashe Sumi: 31 Akuloto, N. Wobenthung Lotha: 38 Wokha Town, Yanchamo Ovung: 39 Sanis, Er. T. Thomas Konyak: 41 Tizit, T. Ngampai Konyak: 44 Phomching, C. Manpon Konyak: 47 Aboi, Denngan Y. Avennoho: 50 Longleng, Z. Throngso Yimkhiung: 54 Tuensang Sadar-II, W. Akum Yimkhiung: 58 Shamtorr-Chessore, S.
