Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Nagaland unit president Temjen Imna Along on Monday said that the State BJP Party in various executive meetings have stood by early solution to the vexed Indo-Naga political issue.

He said this on the sideline of BJP press conference on 9 years of Modi government at BJP HQ, Kohima.

He also said that the saffron party believes in the leadership of their leaders in Delhi under Prime Minister Narendra Modi to deliver unto the people of Nagaland and the Nagas an early solution at the earliest.

On the ongoing Naga Students Federation (NSF) case, Along said there are various versions of the issue coming out now however, he maintained that no version justifies destroying the house or the office of the NSF.

“NSF is an apex body since the inception of the Naga story. It is legitimate and their anger is also justified, it is not only their anger as they are NSF but also all right thinking citizens,” added Along.

Mentioning that Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio is well apprised about all that is going on even though he is in Delhi, Along said under Rio’s leadership, the Cabinet will surely contemplate on further course of action. “Until then, the police is taking its course of action towards identifying the culprits,” he added

Further, he said the government machineries are working to uphold justice to be meted out unto those people who have decided to take law into their own hands.
