Nagaland government expresses solidarity with the nation

In view of the gravity of the evolving security situation ongoing tensions between India and Pakistan, Nagaland government has convened an emergency meeting at the Raj Bhavan Kohima on Saturday. The meeting, led by Governor La Ganesan and Chief Minister Dr. Neiphiu Rio, expressed the state’s solidarity with the Indian Armed Forces and the national leadership under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “We salute the bravery, sacrifice and professionalism of our soldiers in safeguarding our nation against all threats,” stated a joint statement issued by the Governor and CM Rio.

The state government appealed to all religious leaders to conduct special prayer meetings across the state to invoke divine protection for the soldiers, national leaders and the nation’s well-being; sensitize citizens through sermons, dialogues and public engagements about the critical need to uphold national unity.

The state government also called upon all citizens to remain vigilant against fake news, divisive narratives and misinformation propagated by anti-national elements; verify information through official government and military channel before dissemination; and to strictly adhere to government advisories, safety protocols and legal directives to ensure public order and national security.

It also encouraged all citizens, particularly the youth to actively participate in initiatives that strengthen national pride, unity and resilience against threats to the country.
