The Personal Interview for Combined Staff Recruitment Examination 2022 will begin on 24 April (Monday) as announced by Nagaland Staff Selection Board.

This has been confirmed as the Naga Students’ Federation on Saturday informed that its ‘proposed democratic agitation’ had been cancelled following assurance from Nagaland Government to review the viva-voce component in NSSB’s CSRE for the next cycle.

According to the NSF, the State Government has assured to look into its demand of reducing the interview marks from 12.5% to 5% ‘with utmost seriousness’ and ‘to examine the entire matter pertaining to the proportion of the total marks to be kept in the viva-voce component in the next cycle of recruitments’ in consultation with the Federation.

The Federation shared its appreciation to the Government under the leadership of Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio for showing its willingness ‘to ensure a free and fair recruitment process’ and its assurance to address the ‘lacunas’ within the NSSB Regulation 2020.

NSF also expressed gratitude to all its federating bodies and public for supporting its fight ‘to uphold the aspirations of the students and youth community and for posterity.’
