No nominations were filed even on the second day since the Election Commission of India (ECI) opened the process for nomination of candidature for the 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly Election, the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer has informed on Wednesday.

“… as received from the respective Returning Officer for the entire 60 Assembly Constituencies, Nagaland, no candidate has filed nomination on the second day i.e 1st February 2023,” it stated.

ECI has notified 7 February as the last date for filing nominations and 8 February as the date for scrutiny of nominations.

The last date for withdrawal of nominations is 10 February and polling will be held on 27 February from 7am to 4pm.
