Chang Khulei Setshang (CTS), the apex body of the Chang tribe, has restricted its members from filing nominations for the upcoming election and warned of ‘stern action’ against contravening the order.

The organisation reaffirmed its resolution to stand firm on the ENPO resolution of 26 August 2022 to abstain from the upcoming election and in reference to the joint resolution of the CKS, Changsao Thangjam Setshang (CTS) and Chang Wedoshi Setshang (CWS) dated 21 January 2023, a notification informed.

The Eastern Nagaland People’s Organisation is in talks with the Ministry of Home Affairs for its demand for Frontier Nagaland or statehood citing that the Eastern districts of the state are being ignored and deprived.

The notification will be in force till an amicable solution is resolved for the Eastern Nagas, it further stated.
