Along with other political parties for the upcoming 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly Election 2023, the Republican Party of India (Athawale) also released its list of candidates on 4 February.

The party’s candidates include Z Kasheto Yeptho from 5 Ghaspani-II, AR Loguseng Semp from 12 Tseminyu, Wanga Konyak from 47 Aboi, H Nyemli Phom from 49 Tamlu, Imtichoba Chang from 54 Tuensang Sadar-II, T Yangseo Sangtam from 60 Pungro-Kiphire, Lima Onen Chang from 51 Noksen and Sethrichem Sangtam from 52 Longkhim-Chare.

It may be mentioned that among all the candidates from RPI (A), Z Kasheto Yeptho is a heavyweight amongst the candidates as he had contested against Jacob Zhimomi in Ghaspani-I, current PHED Minister, and lost as an independent candidate in the 2018 election.

He will now go against the incumbent Zhaleo Rio from Ghaspani-II, advisor for Sericulture and Minority Affairs.
