Consequent to the declaration of the tickets by the BJP and NDPP for the ensuing state elections on Thursday afternoon, three more NDPP MLAs have resigned from the Assembly effective 2 February.

The Speaker of the NLA accepted the resignation of Er. Picto Shohe, Amenba Yaden and L Khumo from the assembly and declared their seats vacant.

On Thursday, the BJP and NDPP released their lists of candidates for the forthcoming election to be conducted on 27 February.
