Nagaland twins clinch gold and silver at National Taekwondo Sub-Junior Championship

Cuttack: Eight players from the Nagaland Taekwondo Association are representing Nagaland in the Championship

Twin brothers representing Nagaland have won medals at the ongoing 36th National Taekwondo Sub-Junior Championship 2023 at JN Indoor Stadium, Cuttack, Orissa.

Shiusuthong struck gold in the under 23 kg category after defeating a player from the state of Haryana.

Meanwhile his elder brother Shiuthong clinched silver in the under 25 kg category. Shiuthong’s opponent in the final match was from the state of Maharashtra.

Speaking to Nagaland Tribune, coach Santsuthung Ngullie said, “Hoping and praying to add more medals to tally”.

Eight players from the Nagaland Taekwondo Association are representing Nagaland in the 36th National Taekwondo Sub-Junior Championship 2023, being held from 25 to 27 March in the city.

The team is led by Santsuthung Ngullie as the coach and Keneingulie as the manager.
