Nagaland ULB Election: Congress appoints officials for upcoming ULB election

Kohima: S Supongmeren Jamir, NPCC Vice President and in-charge of ULB election has been requested to coordinate with the district in-charges.

With the government adamant to hold elections for the Urban Local Bodies (ULB) despite opposition from several quarters of the society, the Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) has appointed the in-charges for several districts.

Khriedi Theunuo, Working President NPCC as has been appointed as the in-charge of Kohima and Tseminyu; L Chuba Yim, General Secretary NPCC, in-charge of Wokha and Mokokchung; Athang Chongloi, General Secretary as the in-charge of Phek; V Lasuh, Vice President NPCC as the in-charge of Dimapur and Peren; Capt. GK Zhimomi, Vice President NPCC as the in-charge of Zunheboto; W Akum, Vice President NPCC as the in-charge of Longleng; Er. Thomas, former candidate as the in-charge of Mon and Shaboh Konyak, Vice President NPCC as the in-charge of Tuensang, Kiphire and Noklak.

Further, S Supongmeren Jamir, NPCC Vice President and in-charge of ULB election has been requested to coordinate with the district in-charges.

All India Congress Committee does not provide funding while the PCC does not have funds, it was informed.
