Nagaland ULB Election: Intending candidates, stakeholders from Tseminyu agree not to file nomination

Kohima: This decision was arrived at during an emergency consultation meeting with all Tseminyu ward GBs and intending candidates at Tseminyu on Tuesday.

In line with the resolutions adopted by the 15 tribal hohos regarding the Urban Local Body (ULB) election, the stakeholders and intending candidates from Tseminyu district have unanimously agreed to abide by the decision of the Rengma Hoho and the other tribal hohos not to file nominations for the ULB election till their demands are met.

This decision was arrived at during an emergency consultation meeting with all Tseminyu ward GBs and intending candidates at Tseminyu on Tuesday, a press release from Rengma Hoho informed.

Highlighting the meeting resolutions of the tribal hohos on 27 March, the meeting ‘resolved and appealed all citizens to continue their support and cooperation in safeguarding and protecting the rights and aspirations of the Naga people’.
