The Office of Northern Angami Students’ Union (NASU) condemned the sadistic crime committed by Vilie Mere, a resident of Tsiesema Basa Village, against a 5-year-old child on the 9 July 2023 at Tsiesema Village under Kohima district.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, NASU demanded the law enforcing authorities to take swift and severe action against the culprit in accordance with the relevant laws. The Union emphasized the importance of delivering timely justice, setting an example for all those with evil intentions to fear the consequences of their actions.

Expressing solidarity and empathy, the NASU extended heartfelt sympathy to the victim and the victim’s family. They offered prayers, seeking strength to help them overcome this darkest misfortune.
