Kohima: The flag hoisting is being done as part of the HAR GHAR TIRANGA programme of the Government of India.

As part of the flag hoisting, students, faculty and staff are to take selfie with the flag and post it in the official website of HAR GHAR TIRANGA and one may “Pin the Flag” on the website as per their geographical coordinates, according to the notification.
The notification provides further details on respectfully disposing off the flags as a whole in private and preferably by burning or any other method consistent with the dignity of the flag.
