Deputy Commissioner, Kohima, B Henok Buchem, NCS, has directed all government offices, schools, colleges, and public and private institutions across Kohima District to organise the “National Pledge Against Drug Abuse” on August 18 as part of the observance of the 6th Year of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA).

According to a circular issued by the Deputy Commissioner, the programme is being organised in pursuance of directives from the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, for nationwide observance of the campaign.

All concerned institutions have been instructed to administer the National Pledge Against Drug Abuse on the designated day. They have also been directed to submit an Action Taken Report (ATR) in the prescribed format, along with photographs of the programme, to the Deputy Commissioner’s Office or through WhatsApp to the District Welfare Officer, Kohima (Mobile: 6909997635) on or before August 20.

The Deputy Commissioner has requested all concerned to ensure strict compliance with the directives and actively participate in the campaign to reinforce the message of a drug-free society.
