The commissioning prayer service for Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBBC) choir Aeterna was held at City Church, Kohima this evening. Rev. Kedo Peseyie, Pastor of City Church, commissioned the prayer service.
Aeterna Choir will be representing NBCC at the Asia Pacific Baptist Federation 50th Anniversary at Singapore. The celebration will commence from 17 November till 18 November 2023.

A total of 18 members led by its founder James Swu will be singing in all the seven services which will be held during the two-day celebration.
Aeterna and the Mizoram Baptist Choir will be the only two choirs representing India.
Aeterna founder James Swu, said he started the choir in the early part of 2021 and since, have been participating in various events. The choir’s main objective is to promote church choral music and also traditional music fused with choral.
The word Aeterna is derived from a latin word translating to eternal, added Swu.
Swu also thanked City Church Kohima for graciously opening their doors and letting the choir practice. He also thanked all the people who have helped financially and through prayer.
Earlier, the choir presented ten songs to the congregation and State Chaplin Rev. T.W Yamyap pronounced the benediction.
