NBOCWWB conducts awareness campaign at Pughoboto

Pughoboto: Vikheho Swu, MLA said participants from 24 villages under Pughoboto Sub Division have enrolled for the training and registration in the Board

Nagaland Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, conducted an awareness campaign on the construction building and other construction work at Pughoboto Town Hall on 4th August 2022.

Vikheho Swu, MLA said participants from 24 villages under Pughoboto Sub Division have enrolled for the training and registration in the Board. He lauded the state government under CM Neiphiu Rio for implementing various programmes to empower them in with different skills such as electricians, plumbers, construction workers, painters, etc. The MLA maintained that the participants need to maintain the culture of “Work is Worship”. He urged them to work hard and become champions by learning skills. He expressed gratitude to NBOCWWB and Labour Department for their concern.

Chairman NBOCWWB Dr. Kekhrie Yhome said the state government is ready to give all opportunities at the doorstep level and urged them to avail the benefits. He said till the end world ends building and construction will go on, hence, he encouraged the people to give importance to construction. He also appreciated the Mokokchung district for having many local laborers mostly Konyak people and urged them to emulate them to be successful construction workers.

NBOCW Welfare board is to provide social security to the building and other construction workers and their families by implementing different welfare schemes specially designed for the purpose.

SDO Civil R Daniel Angami and other officials also attended the function. About 300 participants enrolled during the awareness function.

CEO NBOCWWB T.Chubayanger highlighted the activities and said unless the respective elected MLAs support, the endeavor might not go far and added that the training depends on the participants to go ahead.

Both the program chairperson CEO and chairman of NBOCWWB acknowledged the MLA for the initiative for showing the roadmap to holding awareness events in the area.

The official team from Kohima imparted to them different skills group-wise.

The welcome address was given by Kughakhu Sheqi and a special song was presented by Mughalivi.
