NDPP candidate Kudecho Khamo files nomination, launches election campaign

Kudecho Khamo, an NDPP candidate from the 18th Chozuba Assembly Constituency (AC), on Monday filed his nomination at Chozuba town in Phek district for the ensuing 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly general election.

Stating that the first assignment is done with the issuance of an NDPP ticket, he urged the party units to give their best effort at the grassroots level so as to make a difference.

Launching his election campaign at Chetheba town, he acknowledged the leadership of NDPP led by party president Chingwang Konyak, Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and others for allotting the ticket and also credited the prayer and unflinching support of party workers.

He expressed delight and welcomed the newcomers into the party and said that the party belonged to all and would collectively work for the interest of the people so as to strengthen the party.

Khamo said NDPP was founded by reposing the faith and hope of the people on God and affirmed faith to emerge victorious and form the next government.

He hailed Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio as a tall and visionary leader who brought about development in the state and is initiating many welfare-centric programmes for the masses.

Khamo asserted that the people from Chozuba AC also should work hard to be in the government for all-round development.

Stressing the importance of economic development and stability among the people, Khamo urged upon the people to join hands collectively in tandem this election to bring about transformative change with new visions, and eradicate corruption with good governance and transparency.

Pointing out the high number of educated youths, he shared that this election should be a landmark to usher in change while asserting his vision to provide avenues to the youth in their endeavours and encourage youth to venture into entrepreneurship and farming.

He maintained that the government, under the leadership of CM Rio, is working for the promotion of sports in the state by setting up infrastructures in various districts.

Further, assuring that Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio will continue to be in the chair, he called upon the people to join hands towards the ‘journey of transformation and excellence’.

Meanwhile, Zacüto Nyekha, President of 18 Chozuba BJP mandal, in his address, assured that the BJP units under Chozuba AC will give their support to the NDPP candidate as part of the alliance.

Thupukhruo Ringa, Advisor of NDPP 18 Chozuba AC; Nuzota Swuro, former MLA and NDPP vice president also spoke during the occasion.

A temporary NDPP office was also inaugurated at Chozuba town on Monday evening for the forthcoming general election. Khamo inaugurated the office and expressed hope that the office will benefit party workers to work together and strengthen the party in the constituency.
