Neidilhou Keditsu, Director, Economics & Statistics, Nagaland along with officials attended the Regional Training Workshop on State Income and Related Aggregates in Agartala, Tripura from 23rd – 27th September, 2024 organised by the Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation (MoSPI), Government of India in collaboration with the Directorate of Economics & Statistics, Tripura, stated the Directorate of Economics & Statistics, Kohima in a press release.
During the workshop, the System of National Accounting (SNA) methodology was reviewed to encompass economies which provides value added. Further, changes in Base Year Price for estimation of GSDP is evaluated to come up with a suitable benchmark, it stated.
Additionally, improvements and changes in the GSDP estimation such as Regional Accounts and Supra-regional sectors, State GVA ofAgriculture, Forestry, Logging, Fishing & Aquaculture, Mining & Quarrying, Electricity, Gas, Water supply, Remediation Services, Manufacturing, Construction and Capital Formation, Services sector, Financial Corporation & NDCUs Analysis, Estimates for Private Corporate, SDP estimates using information from MCA, ASI and GST, Budget Analysis with focus on Local Bodies’ Accounts and State estimation of PFCE, Product Taxes and Product Subsidies for estimation of GSDP were discussed, stated the press release.
