Nito Theological College, Zunheboto celebrated its 75th Anniversary of Sumi Baptist Akukuhou Kuqhakulu (SBAK) Education Ministry on 22nd September 2023. The Education Ministry of SBAK- Nito Mount traces its origin to Aizuto Vernacular Bible Training School, 1949 which was established by Late Rev. B. I. Anderson, American Baptist Missionary who came under the flagship of ABFMS. In course of time, the nomenclature of the institute changed from AVBTS, BTI, NTI and now as Nito Theological College as it stands today.

Rev. Dr. Akheto Sema, General Secretary, CBCNEI graced the celebration and unveiled the monolith and released the college annual journal. Rev. Kughato K. Chophi, Executive Secy. SBAK- Nito Mount delivered the message on 75th Anniversary theme “Retelling His Story”, Rev. Zuhokhu Kiba, former headmaster pronounced the anniversary prayer and blessed the celebration. Tony K, Academic Dean chaired the program, Kakugha S. Rotokha, Chairman Planning Board delivered the Welcome address.
Dr. L. Hutton Sumi, former principal released the Anniversary Souvenir and Dr. A. Niholi Sumi conveyed vote thanks to the founding members, patrons, donors, sponsors, churches and well wishers for being the support pillar of the college. The Nito Theological College anniversary celebration program was pompous and grandeur, more than 700 delegates attended the program.
