The Naga Mothers Association (NMA) led by its president Abei-ü Meru visited the vandalised office of the Naga Students Federation (NSF) during the sit-in-protest to show it’s solidarity, on Monday afternoon.
“Today, we have come to show our solidarity with our children, the Naga Students Federation which is the apex body of our students,” said Meru.
NMA president Meru condemning the act, said the mothers are shocked to see the barbaric act which has been committed by the “so called Naga Club.” We never thought that such things will happen but today when we see the works that they have done we realise that we are not living in a civilised world till now,” added the president.
Mentioning that the ongoing Naga club building is a long-standing issue, she said, the issue can be settled amicably instead of going forward with such destructions.
“I think we should all see that this prevails in our land and everyone when we are looking for peace, I think, this is very injustice,” said the president of NMA.
Meru also said that the Mothers in their own capacity will definitely put their efforts whether people listen or not.
Further, she appealed to all the right thinking citizens to condemn such acts and hoped that good sense will prevail.
