With emphasis on encouraging vocational based activities, Nagaland Education Mission Society, Samagra Shiksha in collaboration with the Sub-Divisional Education Office Noklak District organised the District Level competitions on Quiz, Folk Dance and Role Play on Tuesday at Government Primary School Noklak.

Y Yanbemo Lotha, SDEO, Noklak in his address stated that the Education Department is committed to look into the all-round education of students especially those from interior part of Nagaland particularly students from Noklak and Shamator districts. He also highlighted that the department has to follow the norms and guidelines of school education while implementing its ideas for upgradation of education.

The SDEO congratulated the teaching staffs who are serving under Noklak District and on behalf of the department, further urged for cooperation in any activity-based learning and assured that his support anytime they need him.

While appreciating the students and teaching staffs for rendering positive response to today’s event, Lotha reminded them that the “chosen ones” would be representing Noklak District in the State Level.

The Competition witnessed a zealous and enthusiastic participation. In the Folk Dance category, Government High School Noklak Village bagged the winning position followed by Government Higher Secondary School students in the second position.

GHS Noklak Village displayed a Role Play on the theme “Substance Abuse” which won them the first position while GHSS, Noklak managed the second position with their role play under the theme “Nutrition”.

In the Quiz competition, GHS Noklak Village bagged the first place followed by GHSS Noklak and GMS Nokyan in the second and third position.

The winners of the event will represent the district in the State Level Competition which will be held in Kohima district.
