The North East Sports Association has unveiled the trophies for the upcoming North East Games 2024 that is scheduled to take place in Nagaland from 18th to 23rd March.

The Nagaland Olympic Association informed that the North East Games 2024 trophies are “crafted with meticulous detail, embodies the values of unity, diversity, and sporting prowess that are synonymous with the Northeastern states of India.” The trophies represent a celebration of the rich cultural heritage and vibrant spirit of sportsmanship that defines the region, it added.

During the North East Games 2024, athletes from the eight states of the North East region will compete in 15 sporting disciplines. The prestigious awards up for grabs are the Team Championship Winner, Team Championship 1st Runner-up, Team Championship 2nd Runner-up, Outstanding Sportsmen, Outstanding Sportswomen, Fair Play Trophy, and Spirit of Sportsmanship Award. These accolades aim to recognize and honor the exceptional achievements and exemplary conduct demonstrated by participants throughout the event, NOA stated.

NOA affirmed that biggest sporting event in the region aims to foster camaraderie, promote unity, and celebrate the spirit of sportsmanship among participants and spectators alike.
