The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment has extended the date of registration for PM YASASVI Entrance Test (YET) 2022 until 11 September. The examination will be held on 25 September.
Through the entrance test, interested students can apply for scholarships under the scheme, Prime Minister Young Achievers Scholarship Award Scheme for Vibrant India (PM YASASVI).
Under the scheme, the Central Government will provide a scholarship of
- Rs 75,000 per annum for students of classes 9 and 10
- Rs 1,25,000 per annum for students of classes 11 and 12
The scholarship will cover tuition, hostel and other fees as required by the school.
The PM YASASVI scheme offers scholarships to students of Other Backward Class (OBC), Economically Backward Class (EBC), and Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Tribes De-Notified Tribe (DNT) pursuing their studies in schools shortlisted by the Central Government.
The selection of students will be done through merit in the computer based YET which is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
