The Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) has criticised the recent statement made by Chief Minister Dr Neiphiu Rio during his visit to Mokokchung where he stated that the revocation order for regularization of 147 Assistant Professors was based on the Interim Report of the High Powered Committee (HPC) and that the final decision would be taken only after the HPC Final Report.
In a press statement issued on May 6, the NPCC expressed, “If the earlier flip-flop decisions of the Nagaland Cabinet were not enough, the Chief Minister has reduced the Cabinet decision to a joke by taking shelter under a committee constituted by it which is an added an insult to those aspirants seeking justice.”

The NPCC reminded the Chief Minister that “heading an opposition-less govt does not entitle him to keep shifting the goalposts and make a mockery of having a Cabinet meeting without being serious about the decisions taken.”
