The 41st Nagaland Police Employees Welfare Scheme (NPEWS) Annual General Body Meeting 2023 was held on November 17 at Rhododendron Hall, NPOCM, Chümoukedima, informed the DIPR.
The meeting was chaired by Joseph Hesso IPS, IGP (Adm) & President NPEWS. Rupin Sharma IPS, DGP Nagaland, Sandeep M. Tamgadge IPS, ADGP (L&O), Martin Pienyü IPS, IGP (INT) and Imlisunep IPS, IGP (Vigilance) attended the meeting.
A total of 234 representatives from units attended the meeting, where several resolutions were adopted during the meeting. The House resolved to provide a Micro Financing Loan to subscribers of NPEWS with minimal interest return which will function by the early part of 2024. A one day seminar on NPEWS for all Unit Dealing Assistants of NPEWS was also decided.

The meeting also appraised on the works and achievements during the current year which included the cash award to eight students of HSLC/ HSSLC Toppers for the year 2023 for children of employees under Nagaland Police Department; Major renovation/ modernization of Nagaland Police Transit Camp, Dwarka and Nagaland Police Rest House, Guwahati. To facilitate the lower ranks of the Department on official and medical treatment during their stay at Police House Guwahati, the Society purchased 01 (one) Maruti Suzuki Eeco Van for Nagaland Police Rest House, Guwahati.
